Fujitsu unveils network scanner to ease document management

Fujitsu (www.fujitsu.com) has unveiled a network scanner to ease document management.

Fujitsu has launched the Fujitsu ScanSnap Network fi-6010N iScanner. The scanner integrates within a company's existing network infrastructure. It allows users to easily scan and share information on the network to streamline business operations, reduce operating costs, and enhance work processes, said Fujitsu.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap fi-6010N iScanner includes time saving features such as Scan to E-mail, Scan to Folder, Scan to Network Fax, Scan to FTP and Scan to Network Printer. Using its "Job Button" feature, users can pre-program frequently used functions into the scanner, including setting a destination for scanned images.

Additionally, with the large 8.4" XGA touch screen, users can easily view, zoom, pan and rotate scanned images with a full keyboard at their disposal for data input.

Scott Francis, senior director of product marketing at Fujitsu Computer Products of America, said, "From the ScanSnap iScanner's easy deployment, to its enhanced security and encryption features, and to the customisable job functions, it's never been easier for businesses to quickly scan and share documents across the entire organisation."

The Fujitsu ScanSnap fi-6010N iScanner offers developers an optional Software Developer Kit (SDK), providing third-party connectivity to customise the Network Scanner to the exact business need, such as integrating it with electronic document management systems.
