Synergis Software has enhanced its engineering document management and workflow platform with the release of Adept 8.2.

Adept 8.2 includes support for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7, deeper integration with Active Directory, SSL-encrypted data transfer and other new features.

Todd Cummings, vice president of research and development at Synergis Software, said, “Adept’s seamless integration with Active Directory allows our customers to maintain a single source of user and group accounts, while ensuring the two systems stay synchronised.

"This enhancement eliminates redundant data entry, improves the efficiency of Adept administration, and lowers the total cost of Adept ownership."

Adept 8.2's support for SSL-encrypted data transfers provides data security to and from Adept data vaults, both inside and outside the firewall. “Adept uses the same level of encryption as online banking and online commerce sites,” said Cummings.
