BOLT Document Management has added support for Pertech scanners to its BOLT Bridge for Laserfiche connector software.

In combination the BOLT software and Pertech scanners provide a cost effective and easy way for tens of thousands of Laserfiche content management users to add the capture of cheques, payments, ID cards and other documents from their desktop.

The small Pertech 6100 scanners capture both sides of cheques, embossed and colour ID cards, as well as reading magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) codes, making them ideal for medical, financial, government, insurance, education, and banking applications.

In addition to providing a direct scanning interface to Laserfiche repositories from Pertech scanners, BOLT Bridge can parse E13B MICR code data and populate Laserfiche indexes such as account numbers, routing and amounts.
