Version One’s green meter honoured by national environmental awards
Document management and imaging software company, Version One, has been presented with a Green Apple Environment Award for the development of its electronic document management ( EDM) green meter. Version One was presented with the Green Apple Award during a ceremony which took place at the House of Commons on 15 November 2010.
The Green Apple Awards, run by independent environment group, The Green Organisation, reward companies that demonstrate environmental best practice. The awards are now established as being one of the most influential environmental award schemes worldwide. This is the eighth year running that Version One has been a Green Apple Award winner in recognition of the positive environmental contribution of its document management and imaging software solutions.
Version One’s green meter calculates and reports on the paper, carbon and tree savings as a direct result of using Version One’s EDM solutions, helping organisations to measure the environmental benefits of electronically delivering, authorising and archiving documents.
Julian Buck, Managing Director of Version One, comments, “We are proud to once again win this prestigious award which demonstrates our commitment to satisfying organisations’ environmental needs alongside their business needs. Our green meter provides clear insight into the paper and carbon savings as a result of the electronic delivery, storage and authorisation of documents, effectively supporting organisations’ environmental agendas.”
Version One’s portfolio of document management and imaging solutions enable the electronic storage, retrieval, management, delivery, authorisation and processing of inbound and outbound business documents directly from organisations’ accounting/ERP systems. Version One’s solutions provide a range of business and environmental benefits including cost, time, space and carbon savings.
