Aberdeen Group has developed a new online Green IT assessment tool for businesses.

The assessment tool, supported by IBM, is designed specifically for organisations seeking to improve their Green IT capabilities, performance and return on investment (ROI).

The tool, which uses Aberdeen's primary research in Green IT and sustainability, helps companies of all sizes identify potential areas for improvement, including server and data center virtualisation, energy efficiency and end-user document collaboration.

Using benchmarking technology, the service automatically compares companies using the tool with those of a similar size who are deemed by Aberdeen to be best-in-class for adopting green IT methods.

Companies take a 15 minute online survey to get the answers they are looking for.
