Toronto-based law firm Cavalluzzo Hayes Shilton McIntyre & Cornish is increasing productivity with the help of the Worldox document management system.

The Worldox platform has improved firm-wide sharing, searching and management of documents, e-mails and scanned images at the company.

Cavalluzzo IT manager Michael Morris said, "Worldox has a dual database architecture and a distributed mirroring function, which mitigates any data access outage risk."

Legal Software Connection, a Worldox integrator, was brought in to complete the installation. Morris said, "Legal Software Connection did a fantastic job with our planning and rollout. The entire installation was completed over a single weekend, so our lawyers and staff had virtually zero downtime."

Morris added, "Worldox solves a complex document management need with ease and simplicity, as there's no need for extra servers to run the software; we only need a PC device for indexing."
