Archiving firm Unify acquires document e-discovery specialist Daegis for $38m
Archiving and information management firm Unify Corp is acquiring legal e-discovery company Daegis in a deal worth around $38m.
By merging, Unify and Daegis aim to bring new solutions to market that address the convergence of archiving, information governance and e-discovery.
The combination of Unify's archive repository and Daegis' e-discovery services and technology will support a new level of data management and cost savings for corporate legal departments and law firms, said the new partners.
Unify sells systems for developing, migrating, and archiving applications and business data. It has over 10,000 customers worldwide. Daegis' DocHunter platform allows law firms to search for, process, host and produce documents for cases.
