'K' Line shipping firm lands ShipNet document management system
“K” Line LNG Shipping (UK) has gone to ShipNet to replace and improve safety and document management systems onboard its eight LNG carriers and ashore.
Established in 2005, "K" Line LNG Shipping is part of the "K" Line Group and is a leading transporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) all over the world.
The firm was after system modules that offered user friendly functionality and reliable replication ship to shore.
Geoff Whitelaw, general manager of K Line LNG Shipping, said, “We recognised the need for a more efficient means of distributing, controlling and monitoring our SMS systems. After receiving presentations from most of the leading marine software suppliers, we decided that the system offered by Shipnet was the best to meet our needs."
ShipNet supplies Marine Enterprise Resource Planning (M-ERP) systems to 350 leading shipowners, charterers and managers across all trade sectors.
